“At Penketh, we do everything we can to promote pupil safety and welfare and, therefore I am grateful to Cheshire Police and P.C. Jeff Mather for support in helping us introduce the SHARP system.  The system provides instant access to excellent information and advice and gives our young people a further means of alerting the school to their concerns, whether relating to community or personal issues.  We have a strong citizenship education programme in school and this system further supports our aim of working together to sustain a caring community”.

Sarah Mackie is a Police Community Support Officer based at Sankey Police station. She is a former Penketh High School student and has covered the area of Penketh as a PCSO for over 4 years, dealing with many different types of community issues such as Anti Social Behaviour. Sarah will be holding drop in sessions every 6 weeks which will be held in the school canteen, this will be an opportunity for students to approach her on a one to one basis with any issues or questions they may have.

My role as the Warrington school liaison officer involves visiting all the local high schools and colleges, speaking to young people in class groups and assemblies about a wide range of subjects. We hope to engage young people in a positive way and to provide you with the information to make the right choices in life, in the hope that we can stop you becoming an offender or victim of crime.
